LENDER TRAINING

Mortgage Loan Officers (MLO) or mortgage brokers who would like to become participating lenders for MOH's homeownership programs, including DALP, MCC, PIC and TND must complete the required training and pay the required fee. Each individual MLO or mortgage broker must complete the training every year. All participating loan agents must provide their NMLS ID# to MOH.

BMR Lender Training is not currently available. Lenders who wish to participate with the BMR must agree and understand that the City will place a second lien against the BMR property, which is the difference between the fair market value and the BMR sales price, referred to as BMR lien. The City will require Title Insurance for the BMR lien. The lender also understands that the restrictions in an Inclusionary Housing BMR unit will survive foreclosure. To inquire about BMR lender participation, please contact our office at (415) 701-5500 and ask for the BMR program staff.

You must register for DALP & MCC online training before beginning. To do so, please send an email to sonia.mcdaniel@sfgov.org with your request to take the online lender training. Be sure to include your contact information and NMLS#. You will receive a reply with the online lender training password.

INSTRUCTIONS: Once you have registered for the DALP & MCC online training and received the password, click the start button below. Navigate through the training by clicking the back and next buttons (the next button on each slide will become active once the slide's voiceover is complete). The training will take approximately 45 minutes. At the end of the training, you must either print the Certificate of Completion or copy your Certificate ID (do not close the training window before you get your Certificate ID, or you will have to start over).

NEXT STEPS
  1. Complete and sign the MOH Lender Agreement
  2. Remit the Lender Participation Fee, if applicable ($784 initial, or $313 annual renewal; make check payable to the City & County of San Francisco). Note: only one fee per lending institution is required.
  3. Mail a copy of your Certificate of Completion (or the Certificate ID # if you were unable to print), executed MOH Lender Agreements, your business card, and Lender Fee Payment, if any, to:
