The mission of the Housing Division of the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development is to provide financing for the development, rehabilitation and purchase of affordable housing in San Francisco. MOHCD also guides and coordinates the City's housing policy. MOHCD administers a variety of programs to finance the development of affordable housing by non-profit and for profit developers, provides financial and educational assistance to first-time homebuyers, and finances housing rehabilitation costs for low-income homeowners. MOHCD is also responsible for monitoring and ensuring the long-term affordability and physical viability of the City's stock of affordable housing.

The annual Housing Expo, produced by Homeownership SF, is a Homeownership Resource Fair with valuable workshops and information for:

  • HOMEBUYERS - Get the latest information about down payment assistance programs, credit tools and special mortgage products; view affordable homes for sale.
  • HOMEOWNERS - Counseling and on the spot loan modification services; find out about Keep Your Home CA and other programs to help you avoid foreclosure.

The Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development Division (MOHCD) is seeking to fund a community-based organization to provide neighborhood-based services to assist low- and moderate-income families with children 6 years old and under who will benefit from MOHCD's Lead Hazard Control Program remediation services.
